Yesterday I went to yoga-class. All the exercises didn't feel that heavy, so I did the most difficult options. And now I have muscular pain in my whole body. Ouch.

Le ballon rouge

This short movie is simply wonderful. It's about a young boy, Pascal, who becomes friends with a red balloon. The balloon follows him everywhere he goes, until the gang of boys destroy it. You have to watch the end by yourself, because it's too sweet to just reveal it now.









The streets of Paris always make a film look beautiful. I love the way Albert Lamorisse used it, it worked again!

Please cut my heart out

Papercutting is a new kind of art for me. All you need is a knife or scissors and paper blades. Oh, and lots of patience and punctuality.
The results are very very nice! I especially like the work of Elsa Mora, also called Elsita. Here are some photos to convince you how beautiful her work is:

Spinning till your head falls out

This is a bit silly, but perfect for the Sunday afternoon. Here you can make your own kaleidoscope. It is very easy: you only have to pick a color and a shape, and then draw something. It’s fun, because you can’t fail, it always looks magical.

If you’re still bored or in a creative mood: It’s also possible to make your own kaleidoscope (beautiful word by the way, don’t you think? It’s a combination of three Greek words: kalos, meaning beautiful; eidos, form; and skopeo, I see). Here’s a scan from Popular Science magazine with the instructions, from 1944!

I found this great great editorial featuring Cole Mohr. I normally don't like fashionshoots with only male models that much, but Cole has such an incredible interesting face! He isn't that handsome, but his whole attitude makes me want to look at his photos.
